Dear Paul,

Now that the dust has settled and we have had time to assess Greta's new Scenic, we thought it might be nice to pass on our impressions, which you are of course free to use in any way you wish.

This was the first time either of us had bought a new car "through the internet" and I freely confess that I had strong reservations( which Greta did not share!) I am delighted to say that all my reservations were needless and that the whole purchase went through painlessly, courteously and with the utmost efficiency. Every question we asked, and there were many, was answered promptly: every request we had, hopefully not too many, was quickly and expertly resolved.

The delivery process could not have been smoother. After a long journey, the car was delivered on time in first class condition (it had even been washed thoroughly on the way down) and Steve, the driver, could not have been more helpful.

Now that I have been using the new car for just under a week, I should like to thank you for all your help with this purchase. You, and eCar Services, have been very efficient throughout the order period, as was the car delivery. You informed me that the Registrarion documents will come directly from DVLA and that an invoice, to show settlement of the balance of the monies due, will be sent from yourselves.

The only, very minor, problem with the car, and one I will easily resolve myself, is that I expected to have the EU sign on the rear number plate, as almost all new cars seem to have this. As I travel abroad with the car at least once a year, it would satisfy the requirement to show a GB plate and save having to put a separate GB sticker on the paintwork.

I will be pleased to tell friends and acquiantances to seek a quote from you whenever they are next changing their cars.

A New Car?

When the time came to change my car I went through the usual trauma of visiting the local dealerships of the cars that interested me. I had of course to listen to the usual dealership crap as to why my car, immaculate and with a low mileage it may have been was worthless and how the car I had expressed an interest in was not available with a discount. I have heard this so many times before that I thought there has to be a better way.

After much research I eventually ended up at eCar Services as the potential source for my new car. Initially I thought Hi what am I doing sending £500-00 to someone that I do not know. Jacqui pointed out to me that if they done a runner with my £500 I could always get it back on my credit card! A deal was eventually struck when the part exchange value for my existing car emerged. This turned out to be much better than any given to me by the "authorized dealers" The discount offered on the new car was also very acceptable and when coupled with the trade in value I was hooked.

My new car turned up almost 6 weeks to the day from placing my order. The exchange was simple and quick no bells no whistles but then if you got the bells and whistles you would pay more for your car.

I put all the figures from eCar to my local dealer and asked if he could match them. He could not but said please bring your car here for service as we need your business! That says something. Why pay dealer prices when eCar can give you a better deal?

I have no hesitation in recommending eCar to anyone considering the purchase of a new car.

What was my experience of recieving a car from you.

Well I have to say that it was excellent.

After receiving the initial quote, I decided to telephone you. My reasons were two fold, first was to gain some sort of impression of the people I may be dealing with (did I think I could trust you), and secondly was to find out what the catch was in the price.

Having spoken at some length with you, I was reassured that there was no catch with the purchase, and that you came across as friendly, professional and perhaps more to the point, genuine.

The order procedure was very smooth and was completed in a couple of days. Although I was told to expect an 8 week delivery the car was in fact ready for delivery in about 4 weeks. Having paid the balance my car

was delivered to my home on the day I requested by a professional driver.

I have no criticism at all, your service has been excellent in all respects, I would be more than happy to recommend your services to any one who will listen.

You said the price couldn’t be beaten….. and it couldn’t (believe me, I checked!)

You said when it would be delivered…..and it was (the driver was very pleasant)

You said what a good car it was…..and we are definitely impressed with the model and spec.

You said that we’d be pleased…..and we most certainly are (and we’re not easily pleased!!).

The only fault we could find was a small chip where someone has obviously opened the driver’s door against a wall or something and, for some strange reason, the moveable ashtray has moved to the point that it didn’t arrive with the car?!!! (Best4Cars now fixed this error).

Apart from that, we are absolutely delighted and would definitely recommend you and your company to anyone interested in buying a car.

A testiment to our honesty


Hi Paul,

Further to our purchase of our new company car. I would like to offer the following feedback:

Best4Cars has a good website which enables the purchaser to obtain extremely keen prices with ease, far cheaper than using a dealer & the cheapest price we could find anywhere.

E-mail we sent to Best4cars was generally responded to very promptly & efficiently but trying to get through on the telephone was difficult at times & frustrating. This needs to be addressed because the customer definitely needs this reassurance when e-mail & telephone are the only contact methods. The car did arrive later than originally expected but we were always kept informed of any developments and/or delays.

The only big problem was on the day of delivery when the car was due around 3:00pm & no later than 4:00pm. It eventually turned up at 7:30pm but at least we were able to change the delivery point from our company address to a home address. (Best4Cars - This was due to traffic delays which sometimes are unavoidable + the delivery company were delayed in collecting the car, which didn't help)

In general Best4cars is providing a very good service & we would be happy to do business with you again Paul.

Thanks very much for all your help, Sue is over the moon with her new car; the wait for the extras being fitted was so worth wile. The key less remote entry is brilliant, no fiddling round looking for your keys just walk up op the door get in press the start button and away you go.

The panoramic sun roof lets so much light in to the vehicle it feels like the car is more like a bigger a car.

On a personal note, I have thought the vehicle for the size with only a 1.5 dci engine in it would be under powered. But its drive ability is brilliant and averaging 48.7 to the gallon.

We could not have had the comfort pack fitted if we had gone through a dealer,.

I would not hesitate to recommend your company to any-body who is looking for new car and wants good service and a great saving to boot

I Would Buy From Best4Cars Again Because...

Car is great, everything seems to work ok. Getting used tothe new cars ways, like card instead of key, press button to start and stop, little lever for handbrake, auto handbrake off when pull away.....etc.

No problem with service in general in buying from Best4Cars. Have already mentioned to my immediate family where I got new car from and encouraged them to look at your website. I would buy from Best4Cars again for 3 main reasons:

1 - Discount price with regard to local garage quote
2 - Expectation setting and delivering on that expectation
3 - Good communication and responsiveness to questions

Bloody right I would, I saved around £3700 on my new car and the best a dealer could acheive was around £ 2000 discount, so for the sake of getting on a train from london to collect the car (£36), saved me an extra £1700 off my local dealers best price.

The only thing that dampened my purchase was hitting a Deer 7 miles from home on my 450 mile journey.

I am just so pleased with the whole process of getting my new car - it was perfect. It took just two and a half weeks from ordering it to me picking it up, which was brilliant as my old car died and I have been relying on trains and a lift on the back of a motorbike. I was led to believe that it would have been ready no sooner than tomorrow (30/1/2004|) when I ordered it and to my great relief I was able to pick it up yesterday (28/1/2004). Perfect timing for the snow blizzards we have had today, which would have been awful on the back of a motorbike.

Best4cars was the first decent website I came across. I then spent ages surfing and trying all sorts of other options, but could not find a good reason to go anywhere else, so I decided to risk it and I'm so glad I did as I saved loads of money and had excellent service.

Just to prove that my company does its job but sometimes all does not go as planned and suppliers do cause some upset please read on.....

This customers car was delayed by 5 weeks and it was being delivered on a certain date then it wasn't etc, but all the way we supported our customer and here is his feedback as he wrote it ::

Delighted with the car, delighted with the colour. I know we have put you through hell and you haven't made any money on the car -but great, thanks, we got there, we are pleased, you kept your promise and I am grateful.

Just some feedback and (just for your learning) of those rogues at XXXXXX (cannot name for legal reason) - the car wasn't PDI'd until Tuesday 14th October!!!!. Car was dirty outside - it hadn't been washed since it came off the transporter it needed a wash
. The transport guy you used was excellent - very courteous and showed my wife round the car. "

We have only just come back this morning after turning the collection into a mini break. Quick note to say the car arrived bang on time on September 1st at my home on the back of a trailer. All in perfect condition and exactly as we ordered We are extremely pleased with it... as well as with the saving we made on list price. In spite of some initial anxiety about how this was all going to work.....everything went very smoothly and quickly and with none of the hard sell from the dealer. I suspect that unless we win the lottery we aren't going to be buying a new car for a few years........but when we do we'll be back.

Dear Paul,

Just wanted to say thank you very much for my lovely car and for being such a nice person to deal with. Actually I think if had a choice of all the colours, I would have picked the one I have now! I'm sorry for my doubts - they were not of you but solely because I had been let down by the other internet car companies (this was in fact the first time I had ever organised to purchase anything over the internet) - had you been my first port of call I would never have had any doubts. In fact you made it all a very pleasurable experience. The drive back from Birmingham was an ideal way to get used to driving the car and I will certainly recomend you to anyone who might want to buy a car. My only dilema now is to get rid of the old one!!

All the best in your business venture (and you never know our paths may cross again - one day as our businesses grow, you might need a lawyer and we might need a fleet of cars).

From deciding the spec of the car I wanted to buy with the help of my local dealers showroom, but not his prices!! I made contact with Paul and Best4Cars using the ring back features, with a confirmed priced in email to me in minutes, saving me some 18%. I requested a delivery date some months ahead as the car was a present for my son. This was confirmed as no problem. Deposit was paid by credit card and the balance some time late by bank transfers. The only difficult decision was the colour. Everything went very smoothly, the ordering, delivered on time, with all necessary paper work for the 3 year warranty, and service book. Wow what more can I say, how easy the whole excercise was, a pleasure to deal with an organisation like Best4Cars. Michael D

Not only did we make a great saving, but the way you both looked after us made us feel very special (like the only customer in the world) and the whole experience was just great.

I know I was a little unsure of the whole idea of paying for a car before I even saw it, but I could never have been so wrong. We trusted you and I can tell you right now that we would not hesitate to use you again. Our money was safe and the car arrived just as you said it would, on the back of a covered transporter and handed over by a Skoda specialist.

Just to say we are thoroughly excited about our new car purchase with you it is better than we could of expected, I have only purchased small items of the internet before,they have all been ok,but something like a car you always have it in the back of your mind as to,are we getting the the same car which is in the dealers down the road but costing £13,600,I,am glad to say we have exactly the car and model we wanted with a saving of £3,105,also the collection of the vehicle from Nottingham could,not of been easier.I will definately recommend you to my friends,friends in the pub etc when anyone mentions they are looking to buy a car.

I am writing to confirm we received the car safely yesterday.

I must say I am most impressed with the whole thing. The chap who delivered the car was sitting in the car on our drive at 8am and didn’t want to disturb us as the children’s curtains were still closed!

The car arrived in excellent condition and we are all very pleased with it.

I think your service is tremendous. I know I was not at all certain about the security of buying a car on the internet, but you were very reassuring and my requests to ensure the purchase was as secure as possible were all agreed to. I think it is important when purchasing something as expensive as a car.

I will have no hesitation in recommending you to my friends (I am already doing so).

Received the new Espace first thing this morning as promised. Thanks for helping me select the car in the first place, and for acting on my behalf in getting the extras supplied and fitted at fair prices. To find a UK supplied car at practically 25% off list price is pretty impressive, which meant that it was the same price as equivalent 1 year old cars with average mileage. That makes my likely cost of ownership very reasonable indeed. Recomend you I will.

The service and advice I have received from Snip-Cars and yourself has been excellent. I particularly liked the ease in which I have been able to contact you for information, and the speedy responses.

The PX could have perhaps been smoother, but that was in part related to the slightly slow inspection.

I'm very satisfied with the customer service and package and feel that the car I purchased was a great deal.

I'm will definitely recommend the company to friends and family (in fact I already have!), and will certainly use you againn should I need another new vehicle.

Yes, I picked it up this morning thanks. Don't worry about the hoovering, your depot in Essex just said they were going to hoover the front again when I arrived, so I let them - although it didn't look as if it needed it. The hand over depot were very good. As for the car, I haven't had a chance to play with it yet (just driven it back to the office), but it seems to be exactly what I wanted, and thanks for your excellent service and for restoring my faith in car dealers by keeping your promises and by using trustworthy partners (Motorpoint need to take a leaf out of your book).

From the day I placed my order, i was impressed with the level of customer contact kept by Snip Cars. I was informed at each stage of the progress and was able to check on the user area of the website.

The estimated delivery time was 5 weeks, and the actual delivery time was less than this, so again I was impressed with the service.

At any point where I had a query, I had full support available during office hours to clear any concerns I may have been experiencing.

Overall, not only do Snipcars provide excellent value for money and reliability, but also professional friendly customer service which provided me with reasurance throughout.
